Lord Richard William Carey was born on Rigel Seven, a United Federation of Planet Outpost to Lord Robert Frederick Carey and his wife, Lady Lettice Isabella Knolly on June 17, 2250.
Lord Robert Frederick William Howard is the eldest of two children born to Lord George Frederick Carey who is the eldest child and son of Lord William Philip Carey and Lady Sophia Charlotte Howard who is the granddaughter of Lord Patrick William Howard, and his wife, Lady Margaret Penelope Devereux through their eldest son, Lord Frederick William Howard and his wife, Lady Jeannette Virginia Beaufort.
Lord George Carey marries Lady Henrietta Bourbon in 2228, and in 2230, Lord Robert Frederick Carey is born followed by Lady Roberta Henrietta Carey in 2235.
Lord George Carey has a sister, Lady Georgette Charlotte Carey who was born in 2215.
Lord Robert Frederick William Carey marries Lady Lettice Isabella Knolly, who is the daughter of Lord Francis Knolly and his wife, Lady Catherine Carey, the niece of Lord William Carey and in June of 2250, their son, Lord Richard William Carey is born on Rigel Seven.
A second child, Lady Richenda Wilhelmina Carey is born to them in September of 2255 on Star Base 12, as they have left Rigel Seven on the advance of Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR and they resettle on Star Base 12 within the territory of Bedford Territory that one day Lord Robert will inherit from his father, Lord William Carey.
However, Lord Robert Frederick Carey predeceased his father in January of 2270, and his son, Lord Richard William Carey is not even 20 years old when his father dies all of a sudden and even more tragedy hits when Lord George passes away in June of 2270, right before Lord Richard William Carey ‘s 20th birthday.
Lord Richard William Carey ascended to the Dukedom of Bedford Territory at the age of 20 years old in June of 2270.
Lord Richard William Carey is good looking, well educated, romantic, and he loves the country and he is not like his Howard cousins, Lord Charles Andrew Howard III, Lord Patrick William Howard II, Lord Frederick William Howard III, Lord Richard Edward Howard II, Lord Thomas William Howard or Lord Andrew Charles Howard.
Whereas they come from the paternal line of Lord Patrick William Howard. Lord Richard William Carey comes from the matrilineal line of Lord Patrick William Howard.

Lord Richard William Carey mother, Lady Lettice Isabella Knolly was his father’s third cousin, through Lady Catherine Carey who married Sir Francis Knolly and they had Lady Lettice in 2232 on Bedford Territory and they married in 2248 and in June of 2250, their son and heir, Lord Richard William Carey was born.
Lady Lettice Carey returned to Star Base 10 shortly after her husband died in 2270 and she lives with her father and mother on Star Base 10.
It is Lord George and his daughter, Lady Roberta that raise his grandson and granddaughter on Bedford Territory.
